Can you memorize 24 galaxies from the PHANGS survey, as observed with the ALMA telescope?
Inspired by the gorgeous images of these galaxies, I created this beautiful “memory” game via company Ravensburger.
The images depict the molecular gas distribution in 24 of the ~80 galaxies in the PHANGS-ALMA sample (shown are only as many cards as I could fit on the table).
Can you spot the spiral arms? Can you identify the barred galaxies? Have some “Fun with PHANGS”, and try to distinguish the galaxies!
